The Singapore Wombats celebrate their Asian Champs victory back in 2011, Bangkok. Which club will win the 2014 Asian Champs in Clark, Philippines, on 11 October?

The President of the Philippine Eagles, Peter Hammon, has just confirmed that the Eagles have been able to secure footy grounds at Clark for the 2014 Asian Champs on 11 October.

So now, the International Cup teams from Japan, China and Indonesia will be able to participate in both events which is seriously good news for football.

Many thanks to Peter and the Philippine Eagles and wider community for shifting the original date from August (which clashed with the International Cup).

Update on Asian Presidents

  • Brendan Cunningham from Thailand Tigers drops the “interim” tag
  • Steve Chapman replaces Paul Simcock as head of the Lao Elephants
  • Cameron Fidler replaces Belly at the Singapore Wombats
  • Shaun Di Gregorio has taken over from Ben Simpson at the Malaysian Warriors

Special thanks to the recently departed Presidents for all their hard work – and we look forward to working with the new Presidents as Asian footy continues to go from strength to strength.
