On October 4th the Swans were able to hand over some much needed supplies (rice, cooking condiments, milk, nappies, etc) to the Vung Tau orphanage which will help keep them and the Long Hai centre (older kids) going for a while!

Playmakers stepped in at short notice and the playing group followed through after our downtown hitout on the 26th of December. What would be our Grand FInal in a ‘normal’ year. 2020 isn’t a normal year but it was great to have the club pulling to gether for positive outcomes both on and off the field.

2020 Proving Toughest For The Most Vulnerable

2020 is a tough year for everyone but as is so often the case the most vulnerable are hit the hardest. Many poorer Vietnamese families haven’t been able to look after young kids and many foreign volunteers haven’t been able to visit with supplies and hours of love meaning the staff at both centres (and many similar facilities throughout the country) have done it particularly tough.

Thanks to everyone who was able to help us in some way, it all makes a difference!

The staff at centres like this are incredible. Due to the trying circumstances of the kids they have to deal with all manner of challenges but they do it with love and a smile. Seeing them in action helps justify any support we can bring their way.
