Well, this morning, we knew it must have been September due to the highly anticipated return of Taber Talk.
And now this photograph…
This morning in Melbourne, the 2013 AFL Premiership Cup was in safe hands.
It was in the very safe hands of former resident Swannies, Monkey’s Josh and the Shinboner, Natty Payne. The two covered themselves in glory during a rare break in their busy teaching schedule (that’s right, currently, the teachers are not on holidays).
The Shinboner, as meticulous as Heath “Heater” Ellis in his preparation, refused to hold the Cup until he put on his own pair of white gloves (which he conveniently keeps in his other hip pocket, always prepared for such an occasion).
Monkey’s Josh was also there to help out the Shinboner. You may recall that he made the tour to Lao back in March 2010 (the day that Danny Armstrong booted six!) and carved it up (and for the record, the Swannies currently have three Joshes in our squad).
The Shinboner reports that while “footy in Saigon is awesome, so is this (holding the Premiership Cup)”, before adding, “Swannies are everywhere”.
Go you Swannies!!
