David”Patto” Paterson has written to all Asian Presidents to confirm that the 2013 Asian Championships will return to the Thai Polo Fields, 20kms outside of Pattaya City, for the second consecutive year.
The Champs will be held on 17 August 2013.
Below, Patto’s email to the Asian Presidents is reproduced.
Good afternoon Asian Football Nations.
The Thailand Tigers would like to confirm that the official venue and date for this year’s Champs will be The Thai Polo Fields (near Pattaya City) on August 17th.
We have finally exhausted all other options with inner Bangkok venues and, unfortunately, there are too many uncertainties with these venues to fully commit to this event.
We will start preparing a prospectus immediately for distribution to you all, but you can be confident to start your plans for this date and venue…
We really feel that this is the best option for all of us as the playing surface is the best I have come across in my time in Asian Football. Plus, the willingness of the ground staff last year was second to none.
We hope to see each and every Asian nation participating this year, and are excited to be the first country to host the Champs under the umbrella of the EAAFL.
