The NZ Chamber of Commerce sends "Thank you" letter to Swannies

The New Zealand Chamber of Commerce on 8 March wrote to the Vietnam Swans to thank us for our support of their fundraiser in Saigon which has so far raised USD97,000. Below is the letter written by Linden Hughes.

Dear Phil (Johns, National President, Vietnam Swans)

On behalf of the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam and the Christchurch Earthquake fundraising committee in Vietnam, I am writing to thank you for your very generous support of the events we held in HCMC last week.  We were overwhelmed with the widespread support we received from the global and local communities present in Vietnam.

Both of last week’s fundraising events were even more successful than we had hoped they would be, and as of this morning the total raised is approx USD97,000.  This is equivalent to approx NZD131,000 which is being deposited direct into the Canterbury Mayoral Relief Fund Appeal account, so we are sure our fundraising efforts will have a direct impact on helping meet the needs of people in Christchurch.

We could not have reached this amount without your help, and would like to sincerely thank the Vietnam Swans once again.

Kind regards

Linden Hughes
