The AFL has just announced a deal to share some of the revenue raised from its subscription service for AFLTV with international affiliates.

A pilot program has been put in place for the remainder of the 2013 AFL Finals Series which subject to its success, will pave the way for a roll out in 2014.

As an incentive, the AFL will “move to a 2014 revenue share model where 5 per cent of revenue will be returned back to International Affiliates and 5 per cent returned to support the 2014 AFL International Cup for every AFLTV International package sold via the AFLTV affiliate.  Given that 2013 AFLTV Season passes were sold at $120AUD, we believe this is a great opportunity for you to generate some additional revenue.”
