HONKKK- The Swannies are back in action, hosting the annual ANZAC tourney, being held at RMIT University in District 7.

Last year’s ANZAC Day welcomed Singapore on home soil, where the ladies pulled a huge W with many new women joining the Swannies and playing their first game of footy ever. They are looking to propel their momentum from the 2023 Bangkok championships win into the 2024 season, starting with this year’s ANZAC Day. With many women playing their last season, the women are looking to hold their title and end their time in Vietnam on a high.

The men’s team also came away with a convincing win in their ANZAC Day clash last year, taking care of Singapore and getting their season off to a 2-0 start. They’ll be hoping to continue the momentum after a fierce battle with the Malaysian Warriors a few weeks back. The boys pulled it together in the 3rd and 4th quarters to dominate the second half, resulting in a 14.14 – 98 to 10.9 – 69 win. With a host of important players to return to the squad, the Swannies will be looking to get some good preparation under their belt ahead of the ICC tournament next month.
