The teams are in, no covid protocols in sight and we’re ready for some epic ANZAC Friendship footy! The field is looking the best it ever has so the prime time games will have no excuses but to deliver.

12:30pm AFLW Friendship Match

Straight out of the formalities (always a highlight) the women will take the field in either the Crown Relocations Black or Al Frescos Golden colours representing 2 of the Swans longest standing sponsors. This will be some of the girls 3rd games (League game + Gaelic game prior) in the peak of the Vung Tau heat so legs should be key on the large sized ground.

1:30pm Men’s Friendship Match

Following the AFLW game the men will take centre stage with solid squads in both the Crown Relocations Black and Al Frescos Gold squads. SAFL MVP Rusty Clark will be looking to get the ball moving forward with last year’s Friendship Game star Paul Villanova looking to get on the end of the midfield drive. Meanwhile the blacks will have size on their side with big men Jono Mackay, Malone Dunlavy and Ryano Glynn hoping to control the game from up high. This game is always an absolute belter

McMillan Dinner Returns to Tommys Bar

After the games we head to Tommys Bar for a memorable evening for the McMillan Dinner. Tommys has been part of the fabric of these weekends in years gone by so it’s great to be back in the open air surrounds. Dress as a tacky tourist (yes just normal clothing Gus), catch the Middleton Address, enjoy the backyard BBQ followed by the live band.
