L to R: the bottle of Grey Goose donated by the Saigon Gaels, tickets to the McMillan Dinner and Tim Hall with the GWS jumper in Saigon on Saturday night.

On Saturday, the Saigon Gaels generously donated a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka to support the ANZAC Friendship Weekend. Special thanks to John Redmond, Brian Farrell and Glenn Murphy.

Tickets for the McMillan Dinner and Middleton Address are now on sale. With over 200 sold already, it’s going to be a monster event at the Imperial Hotel which stands on the site of the former Peter Badcoe Club. To book your ticket, please urgently email the Vietnam Swans today.

And, last Saturday night, Tim Hall from the University of Western Sydney was in Saigon to present the Swannies with a team-signed GWS jumper. The jumper will be auctioned for charity next weekend in Vung Tau.

Meanwhile, this morning, artwork was dropped off at the printers for match day banners – and for a Monster Footy Record that is 64 pages long. Designed by Ross McRae Design (Ah McRae, you’ve done it again!), this publication is an absolute cracker with some amazing contributors.

Ross writes, “ANZAC Footy Record done and dusted. 64 pages (32 last year) of info, stories, teams and controversy. Looking forward to the weekend. Vietnam Swans Vs Jakarta Bintangs. Better start on the 2014 edition, perhaps 128 pages…”

If you would like a sneak preview of these hard hitting stories, expect a soft copy to appear in this website next Thursday. Hard copies will be available at the ground in Vung Tau.

Things are building nicely for next weekend’s 4th Annual ANZAC Friendship Match.
