News just received from the organisers of the Asian Champs:

 

 

 

Asian Championships Draw Monday September 1st, 7pm Singapore Time

 

Good Morning All,

 

The Draw for the Asian Championships of Australian Football will take place today Monday the 1st of September, 7pm at the Australian International School, Lorong Chua, Singapore. Teams are free to send representatives to the draw, if you do have a representative who would like to attend please pass me their email and mobile numbers.

 

Format:

1st Draw: Two Balls (Hong Kong & Bali)

The first ball drawn will be 1st Team in group A and the other team the 1st Team in Group B.

 

2nd Draw: Eight Balls (China, Thailand, Jakarta, Malaysia, Singapore, Loa, Vietnam, UAE)

The first ball drawn will be the second team in Group A, the second ball drawn will be the second team in Group B. The process will be repeated until there are 5 teams allocated to each Group.

 

You would have all received an invite to a web conference managed by a video/web conferencing website called “dimdim, www.dimdim.com”. You will be able log into view the Draw with the email. Once logged in you will be able to view a web camera link that has been set up and participate in any chats.  This system is web based and should go through most fire walls.

 

Additionally the draw will be filmed by ESPN but won’t be televised till Thursday’s Football Crazy Show. How much they show of the draw will obviously be at the producers discretion.

 

The results of the draw will be emailed to all teams immediately, however a copy of the schedule will be distrusted to all teams by 9am  Tuesday morning.
