Today, the Australian Governor General, HE Quentin Bryce, visited the Long Tan Cross which is where the ANZAC Dawn Service was held three weeks ago.
In the photo above, she meets Swannie, Dan Kindness, who provided her with a detailed summary of the Battle of Long Tan in 1966.
Footnote: Two days ago, HE Quentin Bryce opened the Royal Life Saving Society of Australia’s world conference in Danang on drowning prevention. Tomorrow, the Swing to Swim Charity Golf Day will be played at Montgomerie Links.
