At the ANZAC Friendship Match, we had a number of items donated that were to be auctioned for Swim Vietnam and the Vung Tau Orphanage.

However, we only had enough time to auction three items: a 2012 AFL Finals footy signed by Adam Goodes, A Brisbane Lions home jumper signed by Coach Voss and Captain, Jonathon Brown; and a West Coast jumper signed by the entire team.

Next year, we will restructure things so that we can more effectively and efficiently auction items in public and silently.

But what that means is that we now have a number of additional items that have been earmarked for charity sitting in storage. If we can convert them to cash, we can then donate the money to two charities so that they can use it to make a difference.

So, if you’re interested in any of these items, please email Phil Johns now with any additional questions – or a bid. Please note, the Vietnam Swans will not be obliged to sell any items but we will consider all reasonable bids and inform you accordingly of the decision.

The items:

  • GWS jumper signed by the team
  • Brisbane Lions “away” jumper signed by Voss and Brown
  • Yellow Sherrin footy signed by the West Coast footy team
  • Penrith Panthers jumper signed by team
  • A “Lest We Forget” RSL token (see photo above, on top of GWS jumper)
  • Two nights’ accommodation at the Novotel Nha Trang, including breakfast
  • Timber jewellery boxes made by Dick “Johno” Johnston
  • Timber wine box made by Dick “Johno” Johnston

For more information / photos or to place a bid: Please email Phil Johns.

Please note, the Vietnam Swans are under no obligation to accept any bid and may terminate this bidding process at any time without notice. Any money raised will be shared equally between Swim Vietnam and the Vung Tau Orphanage (Centre for Social Protection of Children).
