Monkey and Kels, pictured at the Swannies’ 2009 AFL Grand Final Party in Saigon, are now joined by Pia Eloise who was born on Friday!

All of the Vietnam Swans extend our biggest congratulations to two of the Swannies favourites; former Skipper, Monkey and wife, Kels.

Kels has just announced the mega awesome news of the birth of their new daughter, Eloise.

Kels writes:

“Danny and I have exciting news from Torquay (Victoria) this weekend, with the arrival of Pia Eloise Monk.

“Born 2pm, Friday 8th June. 3.5 kg (7 pounds 10 for you Canadians!), 52cm in length, with an incredible mop of dark hair.

“All home, safe and well, and embracing this incredible new adventure!”

Monkey (and Natty Payne) was the man who gave us Led Suitcase (the first race horse (trotter) to have ever sponsored a Swannies’ Grand Final Party). The form guide and the  smart money are now suggesting that Pia, at 52 cm, could easily be the next best thing to the Led.

Absolutely fantastic news and Swannies in Saigon, Hanoi, Danang, Vung Tau and around the world, not surprisingly, are now dancing in the streets in celebration.

Go you Swannies Kels, Monkey and Pia Eloise!!
