With the imminent departure of Hanoi’s high flying coach, Adrian “Ado” Enright (click here to see his screamer again from the Indochina Cup), it was announced at the Annual Club Awards last Sunday in Hanoi that the new coach for season 20113 would be another high flyer: David “SOS (Soars Over Shoulders)” Skowronski*.
SOS was in form for the Swannies’ Red team last weekend at the Indochina Cup booting six majors (the third highest of the tournament behind Swannie, Mega Bretta Jotta on 7 and Cambodia’s Jhie on 8 goals).
SOS has jumped straight into the coaching saddle and doesn’t want to give his new charges too much of a rest after last weekend’s glory. Earlier in the week, he emailed everyone to advise that tonight (Thursday) would be training as usual at the Australian Embassy:
“Congrats again to the Swans for running an awesome tournament on Saturday and for playing great footy – both Reds and Whites. Also great work to the netballers for their tournament and for making the GF!
“We’ll run training this week at the embassy as per usual. We’ll do a circuit followed by a game of some sort.
“I will be running the sesh but don’t worry, Adrian will still be there. We want to give you time to come to grips with the tragedy that is his departure.”
From all the Swannies, from the south to the north, we thank Ado for his time and effort for all that he did for this Club.
And to SOS, from the south to the north, we welcome you aboard as the new Hanoi Coach. You will have your own, unique, style in the role and you will be a stunning success.
You have everyone’s full support across the country and we look forward to seeing you at the helm in Hanoi for a very successful 2013!
Go you Swannies!!
