The defense on the most hostile of territory – Phnom Penh. The Swans are entering Women’s and Men’s teams in the ICC for the first time, let’s get the sweep!

The Date of the Indo China Cup

The tournament is Saturday September 1st – schedule to be announced!

As always, teams will include the Vietnam Swans and:

The exact format of the tournament is to be confirmed, but its usually round-robin for short games of 2 halves against all other teams.

In a first for the Indo China Cup, there will also be games of #AFLW as AFL Asia really focuses on developing the women’s game in Asia in 2018.

It’s a public holiday in Vietnam on the Monday, so there’s a chance we’ll stay on.

Getting to Phnom Penh

The team bus will head across on Friday August 31st, leaving 5pm SHARP from Centerpoint Offices – 106 Nguyễn Văn Trỗi, Phường 8, Phú Nhuận, Hồ Chí Minh. It’s better to catch at taxi to get to Centerpoint, but you may be able to convince a security guard to leave your bike (no guarantees).

Return bus is TBC, but we will head back Sunday or Monday (remember there is a public holiday in VN on Monday).

Accommodation in Phnom Penh

Book at Okay Boutique, the team hotel before it fills up! Great rooftop, pretty good breakfast and a pool.

If you want something cheaper, there is a backpacker’s 100m away (The Share Phnom Penh Hostel).

You’ll need to book for Friday night (August 31st) and Saturday night (September 1st).

The Squads

All players will get game time as there will be Swans squad plus extras needed, so get on board!

Men’s team sign up here so we can plan a successful Swannies trophy defense!

Training Before the Cup

Further details coming up but it’s all hands on deck. GET ON BOARD and get down to training in either Hanoi or Saigon!
