The Vietnam Swans would again like to thank International SOS for the outstanding level of medical support they offer whenever we play a match in Vietnam.
Last weekend in Vung Tau at the ANZAC Friendship Weekend, they had to deal with a knee (Thien Nguyen) and a dislocated shoulder (Ross McRae) in the Legends’ Match. In the ANZAC Friendship Match, one player for the Jakarta Bintangs (Kris van der Meer) received a deep cut to the head and another (Dan Hopkins) also copped a dislocated shoulder.
The International SOS team, led by Sally Bautovich were on hand to offer an amazingly professional service. Bintang, Kris, for example, was only off the field for a short time before he went back out – and picked up Best on Ground, as judged by the Vietnam Swans.
Dan, Ross and Thien all joined Kris at the McMillan Dinner in the evening!

Tram Nguyen of International SOS was unable to attend the Weekend as she was overseas. However, she has since written to the Vietnam Swans to say that, “I am now regretting that I missed out on all the action! Sounds like it was a great game as always.
“Hope that all, who were unfortunately injured, are well on the road to recovery.
“It is always International SOS’ pleasure to support the Swannies and we look forward to participating in future games.”
From all the Vietnam Swans, Jakarta Bintangs and people in the crowd, a very big thank you to International SOS for giving us all peace of mind!
