Last night in Saigon was the 5th Draw for the Mega Bottle of Jim Beam.

There was one late corner in the crowd at The Office who held up an imaginary sign that simply said, “Karn the Koreans!” 

Boy, talk about the power of a sign. Mr Joo, new to The Office, won the Mega bottle!! But what a very deserving winner. When Aussie Rules was just starting up in Saigon 5 months ago and numbers were desperately thin, Joo’s close friend, Mr Hans was sending his two sons and two of their friends to footy training at RMIT. Mr Joo is also a good friend of Rik the Dutchman who purchased the first Swans hat in HCMC and recruited Joe at the gym. Joe was so inspired by Rik’s Swans hat that he joined the Club and has become one of its most passionate supporters. Effectively, that makes Mr Joo a footy pioneer in Vietnam’s deep south.

Mr Joo went on to say that the first time he drank Jim Beam was on a flight to France back in 1995. He added, “I like to support Australian Football. I love it. Tonight, I feel very lucky here at The Office”.

Meanwhile, the rest of us were thinking that this man could join the celebrity speaker’s circuit speaking on how to support sponsors!  

Bearing all that in mind, last night was Just the Best for everyone.
