Ken Rowe wins the "Swannie of September" Competition for this photo in Newman.

Ken Rowe has won the “Swannie of September” competition for this photo of himself and fellow AFL Master, Brett Owen, standing on a pile of rocks in the Pilbara’s town of Newman, during the 2011 AFL Finals Series – while wearing a Swannies’ shirt and hat.

Ken recorded more than half of the votes with 56 per cent of the count. Other results were:

• Michael Golden (Swannies’ hat at MCG on Grand Final Day), 31 per cent
• Dave Kainey (Swannies shirt at the Singapore Wombats’ Grand Final Function), 9 per cent
• Michael Garnham (Swannies hat at the MCG on Grand Final Day), 4 per cent

Ken and Brett toured Vietnam with the AFL Masters and played a twilight match in Saigon against the Swannies on 1 June 2011 ( see Today – Vietnam Swans Vs AFL Masters, Saigon).
