The Vietnam Swans had been sending emails around everywhere looking for a place to purchase mouth guards in preparation for the Asian Champs. A few people knew where you had been able to buy them. Fewer still knew where you could currently buy them – especially at a reasonable price.
Enter Kevan Dacey, Austrade’s Commissioner in Saigon and Dr Bill Westerman of the Australiand mouthguard manufacturer, M Gard.
M Gard has donated 40 of their “Boil and Bite” mouthguards to the Club to ensure that every player will have peace of mind on Saturday – for two reasons:
1. If you have a good football brain but aren’t a rocket scientist, don’t worry. To mould the mouthguard for a pefect fit, all you have to do is boil it and then bite into it. Simple simon.
2. According to the Australian Dental Journal and British Journal of Sports Medicine, these mouthguards which feature air inclusions, offer up to 30 per cent more protection than other mouthguards currently available on the market.
Designed by practising dentist, Dr Westerman from Brisbane, M Gard’s mouthguards are used by a number of high profile sports teams including the Auckland Blues in Super 14 and and by many of Australia’s elite sportsmen and women playing AFL, Rugby Union, League and hockey.
Already M Gard’s mouthguards are distributed in the UK, Japan and New Zealand. M Gard is seeking additional distributors worldwide.
Kevan Dacey, at Austrade in HCMC will be pleased to handle enquiries for distribution rights.
The Vietnam Swans are extremely appreciative of M Gard’s support which will allow us to safely compete in our first ever Asian Champs.
