As warships approach, Tristan (pictured with footy), like a heat seeking missile, homes in on love.

The Australian Navy’s warships, HMAS Yarra and Huon (see above) may be about to arrive in Saigon tomorrow – but the Swannies’ Tristan Dwyer is more interested in love than war. And he needs our help.

This month, Saigon’s Word magazine, aims to match “20 of the city’s most eligible guys and ladies together” including our own Tristan who they have paired up with a Filipina, Rina Guzman.

Rina, 29, is “the warrior… and is no damsel in distress. Whether she’s wielding a lap top, drumsticks or a sabre blade, she’s on top of her game.”

Well, if Rina is the warrior, then surely, our Tristan is the gun. Have you seen that photo above with Tristan and all the other cupids? Tristan could have been photographed with flowers, but he chose the footy.

The magazine describes Tristan, with his “rugged good looks” as a “political foodie”.

“This PR and marketing guy lives by the F word – family, friends, food and football (Australian Rules, of course). He schedules regular Skype chats with his family back home and surrounds himself with football memorabilia.

“Like any self respecting Aussie, he loves sport and plays for the Vietnam Swans who recently competed in Bangkok. Tristan is passionate about his work at KOTO which trains underprivileged children in restaurant and hospitality skills.”
