RMIT University Saigon’s Sports and Leisure newsletter (April 2013, Vol. 1, Issue 7) has just come out. In it, there is a story on the Vietnam Swans taking training with the RMIT students each Wednesday from 4-6pm.
Below, the article has been reproduced.
Build it and they will come!
This has been the motto of the new Aussie Rules Footy Club taking hold on the RMIT Sports Field every Wednesday at 4pm. The numbers and sport awareness are slowly increasing while local legend footy player and organiser for the Vietnam Swans remains very optimistic for the future of the Club.
Students that are mixing it up with the expats are really enjoying themselves with the only complaint stating, “Why don’t we play footy more during the week?”
We hope to have a team of girls and guys assembled soon for an exhibition game coming up in the near future.
