The Reptiles vs Mammals game saw scales come out on top over fur in a see-sawing exchange at Hoa Lu sending the Crocs to the top of the 2022 table while leaving the 2021 premiers winless at the wrong end of the ladder.

FIRST QUARTER – TIGERS/BEARS 3.3-21 LEADING VIPERS/CROCS 1.1-7

SECOND QUARTER – VIPERS/CROCS 5.2-32 LEADING TIGERS/BEARS 4.3-27

The second quarter saw the Vipers and Crocs work their way into the game taking the ascendency and scoring 4 goals to 1. It all started in the middle where Will Sandman went into the ruck and connected with Rusty Clarke for several burst clearances and and 2 clearance goals.

THIRD QUARTER – VIPERS/CROCS 8.3-51 LEADING TIGERS/BEARS 6.4-40

The third quarter will be remembered as the FMJ quarter as Josh Pike lit up the Vipers/Crocs forward line with 2 Goal of the Year contenders. The Tigers/Bears stayed in the contest with goals to Ryano and Young Kev.

FULL TIME – VIPERS/CROCS 12.4-76 DEFEATED TIGERS/BEARS 8.5-53

A well earned win to the reptiles after a slow start as they won the final 3 quarters. The Tigers and Bears did well to stay in the game but never could get momentum back after the early stages. Nath Milner fought back well holding Wayne to 1 goal after quarter time whilst scoring one of his own and driving plenty of forward thrusts. Ryano worked hard in the middle for 4 quarters while Steve Diep was a rock in defense.
