The victorious Saigon Geckos at last weekend's Angkor 10's in Phnom Penh.

The Saigon Geckos Rugby Club, last weekend, won the Angkor 10’s in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It was a stunning victory for the Geckos. Congratulations to the Geckos from all at the the Vietnam Swans.

Club President Chris “Pago” Paget below announces the news.

Dear All,

On behalf of the Saigon Rugby Club I would like to congratulate the Mighty Geckos on their fabulous Cup victory in Phnom Penh at the 10th Annual Angkor 10s tournament last weekend. The Geckos have a strong history with the tournament having lost the final of the first tournament in 2001, and then again in 2005, 2007, and 2009 when they then went on to be Plate Winners.

Aside from winning 5 Indochine Cup tournaments, this is the greatest victory that the Club has achieved in it’s 17 year history and we are all very proud of everyone’s efforts, particularly defeating so many teams from IRB member countries such as Dubai, Cambodia, Singapore, and Thailand.

Congratulations to all and Thank you for representing the Club so well.
