Developing on the success of last year’s inaugural AFL 9’s competition in Saigon, the Vietnam Swans and Ladies Saigon Gaels are excited to announce the 2015 / 2016 series! Last year this competition attracted over 60 players (both male and female), divided in to 4 teams, with 5 rounds (and finals) played over nine weeks during the Asian off season.
The 2015 / 2016 series will commence on 28th November 2015 and conclude with a mega finals and Australia Day party on 23rd January 2016. The four teams going head to head for the “Al Fresco’s Cup” this year will be:

- Commonwealth Bank

The Saigon AFL 9’s series is open to everyone, and we encourage people to get involved! The competition aims to be a social and fun way to engage in sport and meet new people. We encourage men and women of all ages to join, and warmly welcome local Vietnamese players. Players do not need any experience playing AFL (or even other ball sports!) as we run through skills and your team captain will support you. Players under the age of 18 (minimum age 15) can join with parental permission.
