Tomorrow, the Swannies in Hanoi shall cross the Long Bien Railway Bridge to get to our new training venue in Gia Lam

Season 2012 is now well and truly underway with training sessions happening in both Hanoi and Saigon tomorrow. And in Saigon, the Saigon Auskick will also make an appearance.

Hanoi

Training resumes tomorrow, Saturday, in Hanoi from 2-3.30pm at a new venue in Gia Lam. (Gia Lam is across the Red River, on the other side of the Long Bien Railway Bridge. How good is playing footy in Vietnam??). It’s at Ngoc Thuy St, Lane (Ngo) 68 / 252.

Now, the easy way to find the new ground is to meet our Hanoi Prez, Dan Hopkins, at the entrance to Long Bien Bridge (near bus stop on highway) at 1.50pm tomorrow so that we can all go together.

In Saigon – Swannies

It starts at 2.30pm tomorrow and runs through to 4pm. We’re back at RMIT University in District 7. Tomorrow, we will have a special guest with considerable behind-the-scenes AFL experience attend and observe our training session. Afterwards, over a beer on the grass at RMIT, he will give us a debrief for approximately 30 minutes.

Following training, we will go to the Boomarang Bistro to watch the AFL’s pre season comp.

Saigon Auskick starts tomorrow at 2pm, RMIT University.

In Saigon – Auskick

Yes, tomorrow, Saigon Auskick shall commence at RMIT. It will run from 2pm – 3pm (for the last 30 minutes, the Auskickers will share the ground with the Swannies).

The Auskick is creating quite a stir with bulletins and posters circulating the major international schools including the International School of HCMC, Britich International School and of course, the Australian International School.

Whichever way you look at it, it’s good for football.
