Super Saturday will see two games played in Asia tomorrow.
Two regional matches will be played tomorrow, Super Saturday, four weeks before the 14th Annual Asian Championships are held in Thailand.
The two games are:
- Vietnam Swans Vs Malaysian Warriors, Saigon; and
- Singapore Wombats Vs Jakarta Bintangs, Singapore.
It is hoped that the Super Saturday concept, where multiple games are played on the same weekend around the region, will have greater prominence next year.
The idea is that having three or even four games scheduled on the same weekend will raise the profile, awareness and interest in Asian footy.
ANZAC Weekend would be an obvious Super Saturday weekend (for example, four games were held this year). Four or five weeks before the Asian Championships would be an ideal weekend for building interest in the upcoming Champs…
