Former Swannies Coach, Josh Little, returned to Melbourne from Saigon a couple of years ago. Back home, he has started playing for the Richmond Snakes.
Since then, the Italian Man Mountain, Edo Bozzola, has arrived in Hanoi and learned to play Aussie Rules for the Swannies. However, he too has pulled up stumps and relocated to Melbourne just a few months ago with Melissa.
The Italian has been keen to continue his fledgling footy career and, unbeknown to Josh, randomly decided to also join the Richmond Snakes.
Independently, the two of them arrived at training last night and then spotted the other in Swannies colours!
Josh says:
“(Although) I knew of Edo, (it was the) first time I met him. Not only that, we live in the same street opposite each other.
“Edo has done a couple of sessions already but this was my first training with him there. We both happened to have our gear tonight. All a pure coincidence.”
This is not only more evidence of awesomeness but more evidence that, “You can leave the country but you can’t leave the Club. Honk!”
Don’t be surprised if the National Geographic Channel moves on from Mega Cities to a season of Mega Swannies.
The Last Word from Coach Little: “Killed it in the ruck drill tonight.” (Ed’s note: we assume Josh is referring to the man mountain.)
