Shag inspires Julia to take Aussie Rules to the Oval Office
It is an unbelievable story. But it’s true.
Last November, 2011, die-hard Swannie, Shagga, met up with the Australian Prime Minister, Ms Julia Gillard in Hanoi. While Julia maintains it was a private conversation and therefore remains confidential, the Swannies blog believes Shag told her all about the virtues of using Australia’s signature sport on the international diplomacy circuit.
Fast forward four months. Two days ago, Julia met the most powerful man in the world in the Oval Office, Barack Obama – and pulled out the Tommy Sherrin! What a hoot!
