Swannies Skipper, Dukesy, with the Cup after our victory against the AFL Masters. L to R: Australian Consul General, John McAnulty; Masters Coach, Fletch; General Manager AFL Masters, Neil King and Saigon President, Nick Shiells.

Today the Swannies played the AFL Masters in Saigon at RMIT University and scored a solid victory.

The  final score was:

Vietnam Swans: 17. 8. 110 def.
AFL Masters: 7. 6. 48

The AFL Masters, with an average age of 45 have had a gruelling schedule. Last Saturday, they played the Thailand Tigers in Bangkok and, just two nights ago, they played the Hong Kong Dragons in Hong Kong.

Next Saturday, they will be in Bali for the Bali Masters.

The match was played in great spirit and there will be plenty of stories to be told tonight at the post match function at the Spotted Cow.

The match also served as the last match to be played by eleven Swannies. We also welcomed back for cameo appearances, former Swannies residents Sam Conroy and Lucas Skelton.

More to follow.
