The 2023 AFL Asian Championships are confirmed for 9th of September in Pattaya Bangkok and the Swannies will look to build on 2022’s showing with the men hoping to make a finals appearance in the division 1 contest and the women looking to make a splash following the Anzac day beating of reigning women’s champs Singapore. Led by All Asia 2022 ruckman Jonathan ‘Jono’ Mackay and Rusty ‘the bull’ Clark as well as ever present Jake ‘Burra’ Norris and a few more familiar faces the men will look to eliminate the need for percentages and seal a place in the division 1 grand final for the first time ever. Likewise a rejuvenated women’s team led by coach Wayne McMahon will look to take it to the other teams in the competition from the off using their combination of grit and slick ball movement to unsettle teams and put their mark on the competition early doors.

Unfortunately due to a number of departures there will not be a division three team this year but we’d encourage all who are able to get along for ripper weekend to support the men and women on the field and show support for the Swannies!
