The IPA will be a Platinum Sponsor of the Vietnam Swans in 2013. Their logo will be worn on the Swannies’ shorts.

The Vietnam Swans are delighted to announce that the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) has just confirmed that it will be a Platinum Sponsor of the Vietnam Swans in 2013. The IPA’s logo will be worn on the Swannies’ shorts.

The Institute of Public Accountants has said in a statement that it is “very proud to sponsor the Vietnam Swans football team.  Forming this very strong relationship fits well with the IPA’s long term goals including representation and thought leadership of the accounting profession globally and in particular, the Asian market including the very progressive country of Vietnam.

“Building long term relationships with our Vietnam neighbour fits well with our long term vision of building strong networks within the accounting profession around the world,” said IPA chief executive officer, Professor Andrew Conway.

“The IPA, formed in 1923, is one of Australia’s three legally recognised professional accounting bodies with more than 24,000 members and students in over 51 countries.  The IPA is a member of the International Federation of Accountants, the Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards Board and the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants.  The IPA was recognised in 2012 as Australia’s most innovative accounting organisation and listed in the top 20 in BRW’s Most Innovative Companies List in 2012.

“The IPA also holds strong community values and is committed to a number of charitable initiatives.  This is another reason that the IPA is proud to be associated with the Vietnam Swans and commends the team for its significant community effort in Vietnam with their support for Swim Vietnam which saves children’s lives.

“Coincidentally, Professor Conway is a follower of the Sydney Swans in Australia’s Football League.  This represents another close connection to the Vietnam Swans who were given a ‘kick start’ by the Sydney Swans.

National President of the Vietnam Swans, Phil Johns, said that the IPA’s sponsorship was a “very significant sponsorship for the Vietnam Swans.
