The Swannies’ Phil Johns and Ross McRae discuss living and working in Vietnam – and Swannies – with students from the Uni of West Sydney in Saigon.

Sunday, 9 December, the day after the Swannies Christmas Party in Saigon, National President, Phil Johns and Ross McRae, Gun Designer, met up with 10 students from the University of West Sydney.

Leading the tour were Tim Hall and Colin Sheringham.

The topic of discussion was living and working in Vietnam as foreigners – and the Swannies, of course.

Colin has just emailed the above photos through this morning. He added that he found the discussion “very interesting particularly the Vietnam Swans’ involvement with Swim Vietnam’s Learn to Swim program. The students also enjoyed the discussion and have begun to understand at a deeper level much of what you said.”

Phil and Ross were very pleased to have met up with the University of West Sydney and we thank them all for their interest in what the Club is doing in Vietnam. Hopefully, going forward, the Swannies will be able to develop closer links with UWS in a meaningful way. We watch this space.
