Yesterday, Keno turned up for training with the Vietnam Swans in Saigon.
Keno was wearing a Carlton Blues jumper with a difference. Behind the “CFC” logo was the outline of a red maple leaf. It turns out that Keno is a Viet Kieu who lives in Canada and plays for the Central Blues Australian Football Club in Toronto.
Keno, is currently holidaying in Vietnam for six weeks visiting relatives. He says he has been playing footy with the Central Blues for the last six years and “I absolutely love it”.
Keno has promised to come along to our training sessions and functions for the remainder of his time here in Saigon. But what about the big one, the Indochina Cup? Highly unlikely that he will play but he says he will try to juggle commitments to make it happen.
Regardless, the Swannies look forward to seeing Keno at our next training session on Wednesday evening at Parklands, District 2.
