The Vietnam Swans Super Supporter Store is now officially open for business.
If you’re looking for a retro Swannies T shirt, key chain, 10 Yr coffee mug or fridge magnet, then, this is the website you need to visit.
Simply visit the website, click onto the item you wish to purchase, add it to your shopping cart and then complete the payment – and your chosen item(s) will be delivered to your door. You get a great piece of Swannies merchandise and the Club makes a small amount of money (eg, $5 per shirt. The on line store organises all logistics associated with the printing and delivery of the items).
The on line Super Supporter’s Store is the brain child of the Swannies’ Ross McRae from Ross McRae Design. Ah McRae, you’ve done it again!
Yesterday, we had our first customer: Antti Peuhkurinen from Finland. Antti used to play for the then Hanoi Swans circa 2005. Yesterday he contacted the Swans asking for details on how he could purchase a Swannies retro T shirt – and so we referred him to the new on line store.
Antti has since confirmed, “One shirt ordered”.
As our first customer, we have asked Antti for feedback about the service – and the obligatory photo when the shirt arrives in Finland. The affable Finn replied, “Yep, I will make some propaganda and send it to you.”
Propaganda? Yep, that’s how we roll at the Swannies…
Incidentally, Antti is no stranger to this website. Back in June 2007, Antti played a starring role in a post when the ubiquitous Rooster invited the big Finn (who is 6′ 2″ and 200lbs) to play in the Central European AFL Premiership.
Alas, Antti had already booked a “luxurious weekend next to Archipelago of Turku. Turku is the Paris of Finland… or the ass of Finland depending upon who you ask it from”.
Antti was looking forward to his trip to Turku where there “will be some serious vodka drinking, drunken wrestling and passing out to the forest… which is refreshing after busy winter spring”. To read the rest of his insightful post, click here.
