Vung Tau Community Weekend - April 19 & 20 2025

In Lieu of being able to play the friendship matches in Vung Tau, the Swans will be spending the weekend prior in the City to train and get around the local community. We’re still looking forward to the day that the ANZAC Friendship Matches can return to their spiritual home!

We’d love to see as many players, family & friends there as possible!

Bus from Saigon – 17:30 pick up McDonald’s Dien Bien Phu, 18:00 Pick Up Jaspas Bar and Grill Thao Dien – Notify the committee if you’re planning to be on this bus to make sure numbers are covered.

Fun Run All Welcome! – 09:00 am starting at the Whale Statue

Those joining will be asked to pledge their target kms and a related donation to the Centre for Social Protection of Children. We will spend these monies on much needed food to be delivered in the afternoon visit. All other donations very much welcome!

Visit to the Centre for Social Protection of Children – 13:30

We’ll jump in shared grab cars or taxis with supplies to go see the kids, provide some much needed supplies and a kick of the footy and some games with the kids. It’s always a humbling experience to check out the fantastic work the centre does supporting kids who need it and the energy and HUGE smiles the kids have – not to be missed!

The Swans visit the orphanage during one of their annual Vung Tau bootcamp weekends.

Footy, dinner and Quiz Night – From 16:30 @ Belly’s Watering Hole – 53D Phan Chu Trinh

We’ll enjoy a fun quiz night and raise some funds for the Vung Tau Veterans & Friends Children’s Fund – 100k entry per contestant. Long time friends of the club doing incredible work in the community on an ongoing basis!
