Where are they now is a new series where we will catch up with some of the 1000’s of characters who have made this club what it is today. Strewn across the planet we’re expecting some outstanding responses!

Somewhat ironically we start the series with the one Swan who has never left (despite more farewell games than you can count with your fingers) and appears destined to keep hobbling around the field abusing everyone for not kicking it to him in typical long term Swannies Masters fashion.

In all seriousness Gus is an icon of our club, long time captain, star CHF across decades, Hall of Famer (view his HOF profile here) and one of the key pieces in our ongoing movement forward to this day.

What’s your best memory with the Swannies

Our first ever tour. It was to KL, with a small but dedicated motley crew. Loved the game, my first in 10 years, and the emerging club culture

Uncle GUS celebrated his birthday in the lead up training session to this game and looked sharp. Who knows how old that makes him but he’s looking sharp early in the 2018 season.
